Omega-6 fatty acids like linoleic acid are well-supplied in the diet by meat and vegetable oils. But some omega-6s can contribute to the production of inflammatory compounds such as prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), thromboxane A2 and leukotriene B4 (LTB4).
GLA and omega 6 fatty acids
Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) from borage oil, on the other hand, helps inhibit inflammatory compounds and promotes healthy prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) levels, both of which promote whole body health.
Borage oil supplements are an excellent way to obtain GLA. GLA is the precursor to the biologically active dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid (DGLA), which may provide optimal health benefits. And our Mega GLA supplement provides 400 mg of concentrated GLA from borage oil per softgel.
Augmented with sesame lignans
We’ve added 10 mg of sesame lignan extract to each softgel to help promote healthy levels of beneficial DGLA. Sesame lignans help inhibit the conversion of GLA into inflammatory arachidonic acid. This, in turn, inhibits the formation of other inflammatory compounds like PGE2 and LTB4 in order to support whole body health.
Choose the right GLA supplement
Numerous studies document GLA’s multiple health effects. Enhancing this supplement with sesame lignans enables GLA to work much better in the body, increasing the benefit of supplemental GLA.
Dosage and Use
Take one (1) softgel one to two times daily with food, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner.

We only accept returns on items shipped within the United States only.

Hold on to any damaged products, boxes, packaging, and contents you received. We may request pictures of your damages to process your refund/exchange claim. You can start a shipping claim by contacting our Customer Service gurus.
RETURN AND EXCHANGE REQUIREMENTS:
The customer must contact Simply Nutrition by e-mail, chat or phone at (844)559-8600 and request an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number before returning any merchandise.
Customer must ship the returning merchandise within 30 days from the date that the product was received.
The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.
We will accept a single opened container of each individual product. We will accept additional returned containers of that same product as long as they are unopened.
Returns may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
International orders are non-refundable.
Duties and taxes paid on international orders are also non-refundable.
Exceptions to the above conditions may be granted at the discretion of Simply Nutrition on a case by case basis.
Do not return products to Simply Nutrition after 60 days have passed without calling us first! Packages received without an RMA number after 60 days have passed will not be refunded. These packages will be discarded and cannot be returned to the customer!
