Welcome to the Wellness Center at Simply Nutrition

The natural Wellness Center at SImply Nutrition provides nutrition counselling to help you meet your lifestyle and specific health-related goals. Our in-house nutritionist, Julie Wendt, provides expert advice on supplemental wellness and planning. She is a Licensed Dietician Nutritionist (LDN) in Maryland, a Licensed Nutritionist in D.C. and a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS).

OUR SERVICES

Testing

We have licensed nutritionists on site. As part of your nutrition and health coaching, they have the ability to order lab testing to help understand the underlying imbalance that led to symptoms. Based on an initial intake and your health history, our nutritionists will order tests as needed to help us further define next steps. Functional testing can also be helpful if you are looking to optimize your health and fine tune your diet.

The biomarkers we can look at with testing include:

  • Vitamin and mineral status

  • Ratio of Omega 3:6:9 fats at the cellular level

  • Toxin load screening for heavy metals as well as environmental contaminants

  • Antioxidant status

  • Comprehensive stool analysis that includes microbiome assessment, digestive function, inflammation, and infection screening

  • Bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine

  • Cortisol and melatonin balance
